Sisters

Directed By: Jason Moore
Starring: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler
Rating: 1/5

The only salvageable part of this catastrophe called a movie is the incredible John Cena cameo. This entire "film" (I barely want to call it that) is filled with uncomfortable, unfunny, "jokes" and a super basic plot line. To sum the movie up in a sentence: Two siblings reminisce on their childhood, get into a fight, and then hug and make up in the end.

I have a hateful predisposition towards both Fey and Poehler, but I decided to give this movie a try anyways just to see, and I'm filled with so much regret. I could have spent $6 on food, water, oxygen, a pet goldfish, but instead I spent it on this train wreck (not to be confused with the Amy Schumer dramady). There was distasteful comments towards female homosexuals, the lines they decided to use weren't very creative or tasteful in the very least. It's possible to make jokes without it being offensive, but they hovered on that line of inappropriate. Both female leads played the same character they always do, nothing new for either of them, their performances were distinctly average.

I'll stop bashing this cinematic mess and start talking about the good parts of the movie. Including, but not limited too, John Cenasus Christ. Okay, actually, it is just limited to that one character. John Cena is the greatest actor of our generation. He adds so much emotional depth, humor, and charisma to every movie he's in, including this one. Without Sir Cena this movie would have been a 0/5, but his presence, no matter how short his screen time was limited too, made this movie that much better. Thank you John, you are a gift to us all.
